Andy Sontag , Senior Vice-President of Life Sciences Practice

Mr. Sontag has been a life sciences executive for 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, medical device industry and technical industry.  He worked many years at AstraZeneca in a variety of technology and leadership positions.  He implemented systems across the business value chain including pharmaceutical development, drug development, quality assurance, supply chain, finance, order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay areas.  After holding responsibility for all of AstraZeneca’s US manufacturing sites technology, he has part of the leadership team for the AstraZeneca’s US SAP implementation.

Mr. Sontag most recently came from Boston Scientific where he was the Vice President of Global Business Operations for the Clinical Sciences function, reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer.  He had responsibility for the entire technology suite from Preclinical to Regulatory along with the Finance and Quality Functions.  His insight on how to streamline the drug development process in clinical and regulatory directly contributed to numerous systems improvements including the implementation of electronic data capture (EDC) systems, safety and adjudication systems, clinical trial management systems, site management systems and numerous other implementations.

Mr. Sontag holds a Master in Business from Nichols College
